These workbooks consist of collections of exercises designed to help you develop the skills for the various proficiency levels.  The 'Pupil' editions contain a selection of examples, the 'Coach' editions contain a more extensive set of examples for the more ambitious!

BAF Proficiency Awards

The British Academy of Fencing runs a Proficiency Awards Scheme which provides an interesting and challenging way of marking your progress towards becoming a competitive fencer.  The Academy offers three levels of award - Bronze, Silver and Gold at each of the three weapons.  Certificates and metal badges are awarded for successful completion of each level. These awards can accepted towards Duke of Edinburgh Awards and can sometimes be accepted for a Scout Master At Arms badge.

In addition, those gaining a Bronze, Silver or Gold award at all three weapons will also receive a Master of Arms certificate at the relevant level.

If you would like to take any of the awards, let one of the coaches know and we will tailor your training accordingly.

We hold grading days for all levels several times a year.
