Congratulations to William - 2nd in the U15 boys foil at the Sherwood LPJS. Well done also to Jack, Sam and Lizzie who all fought hard, kept smiling and supported each other so well. The Four of Clubs Musketeers had their first competition today. With 14 fencers we have a bit of a scramble to get through it all in a morning (to allow people to get away for their half term holidays) but everyone had fun, fenced well and, most importantly, kept smiling through the day! Congratulations to William who came 8th in the British Youth Championships U14 boys foil at the weekend. He pulled off some fabulous fencing despite a difficult start to the day. This result means he now automatically qualifies for the boys U16 championships in 2012. Ashton LPJS 02/28/2011

Well done to William and Oliver for great results at the West Midlands Youth Championships. William had a superb day, winning every fight until he went out in the final so was 2nd place in the U14 mens foil. Oliver too had an unbroken string of victories until he went out in the semi final, so was 3rd in U12 mens foil.
